Several Snags

Hello, Everyone! This update is going to be very different than the last one. Unfortunately, we have run into several snags these last two weeks. But, we know that God is still good and He is still moving!

Property and Water project

Our plan had been to buy the property at the beginning of this month, however, we ran into a few problems with getting the funds down here to actually make the purchase. We still have the funds available, we just need to be patient and wait for them to get here. Please pray that that can happen very quickly, so that we can start getting it ready for the program.

Our last post said that the machine had made it to the port in Guatemala, but there was a miscommunication and it was at a port in Mexico unloading some stuff. Since then, there have been several delays, so we are still waiting for word of it leaving Mexico. Please pray that they can get the ship back on the water very soon so that we can get things rolling. We are very anxious to get this project going!

Feeding Program

Finances have been very tight these last couple weeks, and at several points we thought we weren’t going to be able to give food to the people. But, God has been faithful to provide one day at a time (literally). The plan was to just give food Monday and Wednesday this week because we only had funds for 2 days. And then last night, we were given a gift that will cover food on Friday as well! Praise God!
However, we can’t continue to function like this. We really need more people that can join us as monthly donors so that we can keep things running smoothly. At the moment we only have $200 coming in monthly of the $1,500 that we need. Would you prayerfully consider joining us in helping feed the people of Aceituno?

Personal Update

To be totally honest, these last two weeks have been very tough. We have been hit from every side, and it feels like all of our plans and expectations fell to the dirt. We have been fighting a lot of discouragement on a daily basis. The pressure of knowing that finances are so tight that we might not be able to give food has really gotten to us. We know that God is good and He is faithful, but sometimes it is hard to remember that this ministry rests on HIS shoulders and not ours.
But, even in this hard time, we have seen the way He is using it to shape us and teach us.

Yesterday was a great encouragement for us though. We are starting to go to Aceituno every other Sunday evening to have more personal time with the people there. This gives us better time and opportunity to share the Word with people. Yesterday was our first time of doing this, and it was such a good time! Both Maudilio and I got to go to different people’s houses and sit, visit, and read the scriptures with them. It was such a blessing to us, and we are looking forward to more times like it!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our update! Please reach out to us if you have any questions or want to know how to get involved! And please continue to lift us up in prayer!
