A New Year with Hope and Vision

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

We hope you’ve had a joyful holiday season, surrounded by friends and family, and that you’ve also had time to pause, reflect, and celebrate Jesus — the reason we have hope.

Personal Update

This Christmas season, God has blessed us abundantly. We’ve had so much fun celebrating with loved ones, taking a much-needed break from ministry, and finding time to rest.

But what stands out most is the time spent with dear friends—more like family—who graciously welcomed us into their home to ring in the New Year. Though it was only three days, it was exactly what we needed. We had meaningful conversations, worked on puzzles, enjoyed countless cups of coffee, played games, relaxed, and shared many laughs. We were encouraged, challenged, and refueled. We’re deeply thankful for these friends and for how God uses them to refresh our spirits.

Ministry Update

After a brief pause from distributing lunches in Aceituno, we’re excited to return to our regular routine tomorrow! We’re grateful for the time of rest and rejuvenation, and we’re ready to get back to serving the community.

Maudilio has been hard at work setting up the water distribution system, and his blistered hands are a testament to his dedication. Between Christmas and New Year’s, he spent a couple long days working on the project, and he is determined to have the water system up and running before the end of January. This is an exciting step forward, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact it will have on the people of Aceituno.

2025 Vision

As we look ahead to 2025, we are filled with anticipation for what God has in store for Aliento Ministry. We believe with all our hearts that He has big plans for us, particularly centered around the community center He has placed on our hearts—*Centro Aliento de Vida* (Breath of Life Center). This vision is no small task, and it will take significant resources to bring it to life. At this moment, we have too little funding to begin the project, but we are trusting in God’s faithfulness. We are confident that He will provide, as He always does.

Even if you’re unable to contribute financially at this time, we invite you to visit our website and read more about this center and our vision of what it will look like. On the front page, you’ll find a link titled “Centro Aliento de Vida,” where you can learn more about what this project entails.

As I think about the future and all that this vision holds, I am filled with hope and excitement. God gave us this vision for a reason, and we trust that He will see it through. He is faithful, and we believe that He will provide in ways beyond what we can imagine.

Thank you for your unwavering support and for walking alongside our family and ministry. We are incredibly grateful for each one of you. If you have any questions or would like to know more, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We pray that your new year has started with joy and that your whole year will be centered on Jesus and the incredible love He has shown to each of us.

Blessings!
