Today is not a typical update. Today, we celebrate something big.
Exactly six years ago, we served our very first meal in the community of Aceituno. What started with a simple act of obedience has turned into something far bigger than we could’ve imagined. God has taken every small step of faith and turned it into something deeply beautiful and transformative—for us, for this community, and for so many individuals we now call friends.
So today, instead of the usual update, we’re taking a walk down memory lane. And yes—there will be lots of photos.

Growing with the Community
From day one, this community embraced us. I met children on that very first day who are now teens—and some, even young adults. I’ve walked alongside them as they’ve grown, learned, struggled, and flourished.
I’ve held babies who now run, laugh, and play with us. I’ve celebrated with families as they welcomed new members, and mourned with them through heartbreaking goodbyes. What once was unfamiliar now feels like a second home.
God didn’t just grow a ministry—He built relationships that have become the foundation of everything we do.

How It All Began
Six years ago, the plan was simple: feed people. That’s it. There wasn’t a long-term vision, a structured organization, or a big dream for what this might become. We just saw a need and said yes to meeting it.
Looking back now, I’m thankful I didn’t know what was ahead—because if I had, I might have been overwhelmed or even walked away. But God, in His perfect timing, revealed His plan one step at a time. And I’m so grateful He did.

What God Did This Past Year
If the past six years were incredible, this last year was something else entirely. God truly showed off:
- We began house visits with the elderly, providing companionship and care
- We purchased land to build a long-dreamed-of ministry center
- We bought a drilling rig, dug our first well, and installed a water filtration system
- We began selling clean water affordably, making it accessible for the entire community
- And now, this coming week, we break ground on the Centro Aliento de Vida (Breath of Life Center), our new ministry hub
We are seeing things we once only prayed about become a reality.

Looking Ahead
As we celebrate six years of Aliento, our hearts are full. God has done so much—but we know He’s not finished. There’s more to come, more lives to impact, more love to share, and more hope to give.
Thank you for being part of this story.
Expanding the Vision
What started with serving meals soon began to grow into something much larger. Over time, we expanded to include a school sponsorship program, helping children stay in school and pursue their education. We also launched a formula program to support malnourished babies, children, and mothers—providing critical nutrition during the most vulnerable stages of life. To complement this, we brought in a nurse who began offering basic nutrition and hygiene classes to help empower mothers with the knowledge and tools they need to care for their families.

Gratitude Beyond Words
We’re humbled to be a part of what God is doing in Aceituno. And we’re incredibly grateful for you—our friends, partners, and supporters.
Your prayers, your generosity, your obedience to God’s call to give and serve—it’s making a real difference. You’re a vital part of every meal served, every child helped, every well dug, and every life touched.
